<lj:music>bruce springsteen - spirit in the night</lj:music>

Crazy Janey and her mission man were back in the alley tradin' hands
`long came Wild Billy with his friend G-man all duded up for Saturday night
Well Billy slammed on his coaster brakes and said anybody wanna go on up to Greasy Lake
It's about a mile down on the dark side of route eighty-eight
I got a bottle of rose so let's try it
We'll pick up Hazy Davy and Killer Joe and I'll take you all out to where the gypsy angels go
They're built like light
and they dance like spirits in the night (all night) in the night (all night)
Oh, you don't know what they can do to you
Spirits in the night (all night), in the night (all night)
Stand right up now and let it shoot through you

Well now Wild young Billy was a crazy cat and he shook some dust out of his coonskin cap.
He said, "Trust some of this it'll show you where you're at, or at least it'll help you really feel it"
By the time we made it up to Greasy Lake I had my head out the window and Janey's fingers were in the cake
I think I really dug her `cause I was too loose to fake
I said, "I'm hurt." She said, "Honey let me heal it".
And we danced all night to a soul fairy band
and she kissed me just right like only a lonely angel can
She felt so nice, just as soft as a spirit in the night (all night)
In the night (all night). Janey don't know what she do to you
Like a spirit in the night (all night), in the night (all night)
Stand right up and let her shoot through me.

Now the night was bright and the stars threw light on Billy and Davy
dancin' in the moonlight
They were down near the water in a stone mud fight
Killer Joe gone passed out on the lawn
Well now Hazy Davy got really hurt, he ran into the lake in just his socks and a shirt
Me and Crazy Janey was makin' love in the dirt singin' our birthday songs
Janey said it was time to go
So we closed our eyes and said goodbye to gypsy angel row, felt so right
Together we moved like spirits in the night, all night
Baby don't know what they can do to you
Spirits in the night, all night
Stand right up and let it shoot right through you

    <lj:music>jackson browne - for america</lj:music>

terrorism....what a load of shit. the war on terror....oh ya we've got it down..whos running this country. well we have fought the war on terror for like 4 years now and yet theres another attack....well maybe we need to start focusing on the countries that dont carry the worlds oil. you know then we'd have a chance of actually bettering the world. yet where are the leaders, at some confrenece for africa yet none of the countries they're from are running right. while we're here lets invite china's leaders to the next democratic convention. we can trust em they dont have our oil. thats what we need to worry about right? the oil? ya i think thats it. oh yes we've set up a democracy in iraq so u know we should be done there seeing as we acheived our "goal". i can explain to you how the government works in two words........it doesn't. and yet we still think of ourselves as "superior". and hell imagine a country where you see another person dead on the t.v. and wat do you say? do you say "oh well we should do sumthing to help or to prevent it" no dont think so you say "oh, thats terrible" then you go on doing whatever meaningless activity you were doing before. we all complain about america but do you see anyone doing anything? i don't. Who is running this damn war. I want to know who and why. yes the us stands for freedom yet who are we helping, whoevers goin to help us when we need it. men and women come back in body bags and if your a mother, father, brother, sister son or dughter you can proudly say your blood relative died for money, NOW THATS AMERICA! We're america the country whos a spoiled child who bitches when they dont get what they want, we've got everything hell we pretty much think the world is ours and i assume the government probably thinks the moon is ours. and of course nothing in the world is our fault right? yep thats right its all THE NAZIS hell when you have a problem in america you just accuse someone of being a nazi or a commie and thats it, apparently if you dont love america like a woman your a communist. other countries see us as devils just coming in to tell them everything they beleive is wrong. and if there is something wrong with this country its not the governments fault they always find a way to blame it on a group of citizens. look around, americas abandoned you. tell the cops! have them take u down to the station beat your ass right before they say the pledge of allegiance. apparently the only way we can be safe is to wipe every other nation off the planet

    <lj:music>bruce springsteen - cadillac ranch</lj:music>

Let's talk about cellular phones. I don't want to dwell on it, because my heart can't take it. For starters, the rate structures are completely incomprehensible, much like medicare reform, which is actually written in latin.
No one knows what the rates mean until the first bill arrives. Hell, nobody knows what the rates mean even after the second or third or hundreth bill arrives. What the hell are "county wireless license taxes" and "federal wireless number pooling and portability charges" anyway? Fuck if I know.
Only in this day and age can we come up with a device that makes us feel
that we are getting convinience when in fact we're it is nothing but inconvinient. When you desperately need your cell phone there's no juice left. And those nights you fear your car will break down on that lonely stretch of road you thank God you have your cell phone and call for help....But there won't be any service in the middle of Hoohah USA. There never is. They don't build towers there. Folks are afraid they won't be able to birth any more babies with a big-ass tower pumping them full of God knows what. So you'll be sitting at the side of the road, waiting for the guy with the hook to come and kill you.
And I guarantee you this. After he's knocked you to the ground and he's about to swing that big old meat hook at your head, his fucking phone will ring. The assholes always get service.
